Raisa created a series of artwork using rope as a medium to celebrate the inherent connection of the art, craft and culture of UAE with nature. This collection of artworks, like her earlier works are connected to the five elements and the naturally formed wonders in nature like the stalagmites, the root bridge and Al Ula. She also focusses on the immense power that these elements carry by portraying the mighty oceanic waves, glaciers and wildfire. Raisa’s experience in architecture has been helpful in the artistic creation of complex structures which are not only depictions but also aesthetically pleasing tales of their historic and cultural significance.

In A Reflection of Nature, I reimagine the Earth’s quiet and powerful voice through rope — an everyday material turned into something elemental. My works echo landscapes that time has sculpted: wildfires frozen mid-burn, waves caught in motion, stalagmites and stalactites whispering from the earth’s deep silence.

Each knot and weave holds time—just as nature holds patience. These forms take years, centuries, AND millennia to appear. And yet, in our hands, they vanish in moments.

My art is a statement: a call to see, to feel, to stop the quiet erasure of our planet’s beauty. Through sustainable materials and a deliberate, meditative process, I invite you to listen. The message is simple, urgent, and clear-If they exist, we exist!
